The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—used the enemy for his own means, entering the secret base, attacking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, north of the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Seekers and Planners parties.

Fans can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
